THE AFFIRMATION OF OUR FAITH
- The Word of God: We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God without error in the contents contained in the original manuscripts and is the final authority in all matters of faith and conduct. Psalm 119:89-91; 2 Peter 1:20-21; 2 Timothy 3:16
- Trinity: We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Matt. 3:16-17; Matt. 28:19; John 17:1-2; 2 Corinth. 13:14
- Christ’s Redemption: We believe in the redemptive work of Christ on the cross that provides salvation to all who believes in Him by faith alone through grace alone. John 3:16-17; Romans 10:9-10; 2 Corinth. 5:21; 1 Peter 2:24; Romans 3:25; 1 Corinth. 15:3-4
- Regeneration by the Holy Spirit: We believe true heart conversion is through regeneration by the Holy Spirit thus, causing the human spirit to be born again and therefore is essential for personal salvation. John 3:3-5; 2 Corinth. 5:17; Titus 3:5
- Ordinances: Water Baptism, Holy Communion: We believe that according to the command of Jesus Christ all believers must be baptized. Water baptism is complete water submerging where the believer shows an outward confession of an inward faith, symbolizing the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We also believe that all believers should participate in taking communion to commemorate the Lord’s death until He comes. Matt. 28:19; Acts 2:38, Matt. 26:26-29; 1 Corinth. 11:23-26
- Progressive Sanctification: We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling, the believer is enabled to live a holy and separated life in this present world. 1 Peter 1:15-16; 2 Corinth. 6:17; Galatians 5:16-19, 22-25; 2 Peter 1:5-10
- The Last Things: We believe in the personal and visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ to the earth and the establishment of His kingdom. We believe in the resurrection of the dead. The final judgment, the resurrection unto eternal life, and the resurrection unto eternal damnation. Daniel 12:2; John 5:28-29; Matt. 16:27; Acts 1:11; 2 Timothy 4:1 Rev. 20:4-6, 11-15
